Haas Factory Team unveils Xfinity driver lineup

Haas Factory Team has set the stage for the 2025 season by unveiling its NASCAR Xfinity Series lineup.

The team will feature two full-time entries in the second-tier NASCAR series. Sheldon Creed will drive one as he moves from Joe Gibbs Racing to Haas Factory Team. Sam Mayer will drive the other as he moves to the team after four seasons -- three full seasons -- with JR Motorsports.

The team will partially switch up the numbers for the 2025 season. Creed will take over the No. 00 as Cole Custer moves up to the Cup Series. Mayer will drive the No. 41 Xfinity Series entry. The team will not use the No. 98 previously controlled by Chase Briscoe and Riley Herbst.

As Creed noted during the announcement press conference, he has signed a multi-year deal. A press release confirmed that Mayer also signed a multi-year deal.

Haas Factory Team has not announced which crew chiefs will lead the two teams. Team President Joe Custer explained that this process is ongoing and that there is interest from people outside of the organization.

"We've developed a strong and consistent Xfinity Series program at Stewart-Haas that wins races and championships. In 2025, that program will operate as Haas Factory Team. The name is changing, but our commitment to winning remains the same," Custer said in a statement.

"Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer have won championships on their way to the Xfinity Series and they're both hungry to win races and compete for an Xfinity Series title. They bring significant experience and a shared desire to win. Having them a part of Haas Factory Team allows us to operate at a high level and collect trophies."

The two drivers in this lineup will first close out their tenures with their current organizations. Creed remains in pursuit of his first career Xfinity win, as well as a return to the playoffs. Mayer has locked himself into the playoffs once again with two race wins this season. His goal is to return to the Championship 4 for the second consecutive season.
