FOX has released a new ad for "Daytona Day" but they've left out one key bit of information, according to at least one of the sport's key figures.

Jeff Gluck is writer of all things NASCAR and he feels the ad is missing one thing -- mention of the actual Daytona 500.

I'm sure this will win another Emmy, but once again, #DaytonaDay is freaking stupid. If you don't know about NASCAR and watch this, you might go, "They're making a holiday for racing? OK." How about advertise the Daytona 500??? Like say the words "Daytona 500" in the ad???

Is the Daytona 500 still the 'Great American Race?'

He has a great point. Advertising a racing "holiday" doesn't have the same ring at the Great American Race, or, the Daytona 500.

Last year FOX caught grief for not showing enough racing in their ad leading up to the kickoff of the NASCAR season at Daytona International Speedway. Apparently FOX will have to give it another shot next year, unless they can get something together quick.
