Dolly Parton’s Face Was Once on a NASCAR Camaro

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Tyler Reddick is the biggest Dolly Parton fan in professional auto racing. Well, at least you'd think so by taking one look at his paint scheme for Bristol Motor Speedway's Alsco 300 back in 2019.

Tyler Reddick's No. 2 Chevy Camaro race car was hard to miss that day on April 6. Not only was the Richard Childress Racing car plastered in bright pink and white, with Dolly Parton's face smack dab in the middle of the hood, but it also featured advertising for more than a half-dozen Dollywood theme park attractions, including Dollywood's Splash Country, DreamMore Resort & Spa, Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Of course, Parton's record company, Dolly Records, was also featured front and center.

Dolly Parton's NASCAR Debut

"It's an honor to represent Dolly Parton and her variety of businesses on our No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway," Reddick said in a press release ahead of race day, according to RCR Racing.

"Dolly is an icon and has had a lot of success in her career, which is something I admire while trying to build my own success in NASCAR. Hopefully, we can take Dolly and the No. 2 Camaro to Victory Lane this weekend in her home state of Tennessee. I think that would be really special for everyone who is a fan of hers."

Now, Reddick may not have been working 9 to 5 that Saturday, but with his hands at 10 and 2 behind the wheel of his tricked-out Camaro (and maybe a little bit of luck from a country music icon and Nashville mainstay), the 2018 Xfinity Series champion raced to a second-place finish that day at Bristol.
