Denny Hamlin lands multi-year sponsor amid contract year

Joe Gibbs Racing has added a new multi-year sponsor for the No. 11 team as Denny Hamlin works through a contract year.

According to a press release, Bob's Discount Furniture will "sponsor Denny Hamlin's No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE" while making its first move into the world of motorsports. The first event on this schedule will be the sold-out Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway on Aug. 3.

This multi-year sponsorship will include multiple races with Bob's Discount Furniture as the primary partner of the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE. Additionally, the furniture chain will serve as a full-season associate sponsor and the official furniture retailer of the No. 11 team.

An official scheme unveil will take place on Thursday, July 17, at the grand opening of the Bob's Discount Furniture location in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

"We are thrilled to partner with Bob's Discount Furniture," said Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. "Racing every weekend all across the country, we will have the opportunity to promote their great furniture at everyday low prices to race fans everywhere.

"We are especially excited to have the opportunity to celebrate their expansion into North Carolina at the grand opening event at their new Winston-Salem store on July 17th."

This move comes at an interesting time for Hamlin, who recently welcomed his first son with fiancee Jordan Fish. He has been with Joe Gibbs Racing for every single one of his 701 Cup Series starts, but he does not have a contract for next season.

In theory, Hamlin could become a free agent at the end of this season, one that has featured him celebrating three wins.

The expectation, however, is that he will ink a new deal that covers 2026. This will keep him in the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for the second season of the Bob's Discount Furniture deal.

"We're excited to welcome Bob's to our No. 11 team and to have their new locations opening up close to home," Hamlin said. "If you look at their marketing and social media, they do a great job being creative, so we're really looking forward to what kind of ideas we can work on together both on and off the racetrack."
