David Ragan sits in 30th place in the Cup Series point standings, but he did have three top ten finishes this year. Now, the full time cup driver coming up on 400 career cup races is taking his experience to the broadcasting booth. announced that they will be adding Ragan as an analyst for Saturday’s XFINITY Series Ticket Galaxy 200 race at Phoenix Raceway.

“We are thrilled to have David Ragan join us again in the booth at Phoenix Raceway,” MRN President David Hyatt said. “He has raced in all three national series and has a great knack of pointing out the important nuances that only a driver with his experience can truly bring to the fans. Hopefully, he might even pick up a thing or two from our vantage point that will help him on Sunday.”

MRN notes that Ragan was also in the booth calling the spring race at Phoenix so he has experience of both kinds at the track. It is always cool to hear what drivers have to say, and current drivers have even more insight into all of the intricacies of modern NASCAR.
