Daniel Suarez and Julia Piquet have taken full advantage of the two-week Olympic break by heading down to Brazil for their wedding ceremony.

The couple exchanged vows on Tuesday, July 30, during a ceremony in Piquet's hometown of Brasilia, Brazil. This ceremony took place at Recanto das Aguas, according to People, and in front of 160 guests.

The guest list was filled with family members of the happy couple, including Piquet's father, three-time Formula 1 champion Nelson Piquet. NASCAR President Steve Phelps was also in attendance, as was SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's Danielle Trotta.

Suarez and Piquet originally met in 2012, something the Trackhouse Racing driver highlighted during an episode of the 2022 USA Network documentary series, "Race For the Championship." This series even dove further into the relationship by showing clips of Piquet interviewing her future husband for Motorsport.tv.

"She's everything," Suarez said in the episode, "my best friend. And I feel very lucky to have her."

The couple has since been inseparable, whether at the race track or at a special ceremony making Suarez a United States citizen.

"I'm very convinced that (fiancee) Julia loves racing, either more or the same (amount) that I do," Suarez told media members during a mid-July sitdown with media members at the NASCAR Production Facility.

"I mean, she loves it so much. She's with me at all the races."

With the wedding complete, the married couple will postpone their actual honeymoon.

Instead, Suarez will compete in the NASCAR Brasil Series' Special Edition, a tournament that runs parallel to the NASCAR Brasil Series schedule and features three races over two days at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace.

According to People, the true honeymoon will take place after the season comes to a close. The happy couple will head to Japan and spend time traveling the country and experiencing its culture. For now, their focus will shift back to the NASCAR Cup Series season and Suarez's pursuit of a championship.
