Daniel Hemric, Chase Elliott celebrate 100 years of NAPA at Texas

Hendrick Motorsports' Chase Elliott and McAnally-Hilgemann Racing's Daniel Hemric will head to Texas Motor Speedway with special schemes celebrating 100 years of NAPA.

The two Chevrolet NASCAR entries, unveiled this week, feature a champagne gold base with blue accents and 100th Anniversary logos. The side logos feature a banner noting 1925 as NAPA's first year in existence.

The actual 100th anniversary is May 4, 2025, the same day that Cup Series teams compete at Texas Motor Speedway.

Elliott and Hemric join two other competitors in celebrating the 100th anniversary with special schemes.

Ron Capps showcased his champagne gold scheme during last weekend's NHRA event at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. Brad Sweet will use his special scheme this weekend during High Limit Racing events at Texas Motor Speedway.

"I've said all along that this is an honor for me to drive for NAPA, especially in their 100th anniversary," Hemric said.

"It's really cool to join the other three NAPA teams with matching schemes, and hopefully, a couple of us can get to victory lane with them."

Hemric is in the midst of his first season with NAPA. He joined MHR this season as Christian Eckes moved up to the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing. Hemric took over the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado and began competing for the championship.

Hemric has already achieved success with NAPA's colors on his Chevrolet. He took the longtime sponsor to victory lane at Martinsville Speedway, albeit as an associate partner that particular week.

Elliott has worked with NAPA throughout his career. In fact, he told the Associated Press that the auto parts distributor was the reason he was able to race full-time in the Xfinity Series and win the championship in 2014. This deal took him from a part-time schedule to a full-time run.

This partnership continued into the Cup Series, where Elliott has won 19 races and the championship. Thirteen of these races have featured the distinct blue-and-yellow logos.
