Danica Patrick has been keeping quiet about her future Indy 500 plans. Everyone knew she wanted to run it, but no one knew for what team. In an interview before the Daytona 500, her last NASCAR race, she accidentally let it slip.

Patrick was asked when she will start to think about the Indianapolis 500, according to ESPN, and answered:

"I didn't have time to meet up with Ed and the people that ...," before trailing off.

She immediately realized what she just did. "Did I just say that?" she said. "I've never done that in my career." Then, at the end of her availability, added: "I better shut up and leave. I'm going to be in trouble."

Of course, saying 'Ed,' gave away that Patrick would be racing with Ed Carpenter Racing for the Indy 500. She will join the team in a third car alongside drivers Spencer Pigot and Ed Carpenter himself.

We knew there was little chance Danica would miss a chance to close out her career in the Indy where she had one win before moving to NASCAR.
