Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s retirement means his former team and crew will be in different roles next season and beyond, and one of Earnhardt’s closest coworkers just completed his last day with JR Motorsports.

Earnhardt tweeted that his road manager, Tyler Overstreet, will be moving to Joe Gibbs Racing next season to work with Daniel Suarez.

Overstreet has worked with Earnhardt at JR Motorsports in several different roles since 2009. He started as an intern before becoming the social media manager. Then he transitioned into the public relations manager before becoming the road manager in 2014.

Overstreet tweeted that his last 8.5 years with JR Motorsports have been “absolutely incredible.”

It sounds like Joe Gibbs Racing and Suarez are getting a great new team member in Overstreet.
