When Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s farewell tour reaches Talladega Superspeedway in October, the paint scheme of his No. 88 car will recognize 100,000 of his fans.

Earnhardt is holding a contest called Ride With Jr. where they can enter to have their name on his bright green 88 car when he races at Talladega for the final time. The car will also be sponsored by Mountain Dew for the final time.

"I think it's pretty cool that fans will have the opportunity to get their names on our Mountain Dew Chevy for my last race at Talladega," Earnhardt said.

"Our whole idea on finishing up the season is to try to show our appreciation to our fans and everyone in the industry on making this an incredibly enjoyable ride, so this is another great way to do that," he said.

Fans can enter in the contest now, and they will be notified prior to the October 15th race if their names will make the cut. Mountain Dew will try to fit more than 100,000 names on the car if they can.

Earnhardt has won six Cup races at Talladega during his career.
