Huh?
There are a couple of things that Bubba Wallace and Colin Kaepernick share in common -- they're both the same race and have the same job status (unemployed).
Richard Petty Motorsports majority owner Andrew Murstein somehow tied those two together when he said this to SpeedwayMedia:
"Just as Colin Kaepernick hasn't been hired by an NFL team, I am surprised that no one in NASCAR has given Bubba Wallace a full-time ride at the Cup level yet. He is clearly talented enough, and has certainly put his time in having raced and excelled in the XFINITY and Truck Series for many years."
All of that is certainly true. Kaepernick does have talent, as does Wallace, though it does seem like an odd pairing.
But NASCAR fans are sure to have some thoughts about mentioning a favorite son, in Wallace, with a quarterback whose national anthem protests the fan base widely loathes.
