Cody Ware scores new sponsor for Iowa Speedway return

Cody Ware has joined forces with a new sponsor for NASCAR's Iowa Speedway return this weekend. He will take on the short track with Costa Oil.

According to a press release, the provider of oil changes will take over the No. 51 Ford Mustang for the second-ever Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway. The company will make the leap to Ware's car after previously supporting his brother in multiple racing series.

The location of this partnership will be fitting considering the 10-minute oil change company's ties to the area. One of Costa Oil's 65 locations is near the race track in Newton, Iowa.

"We're proud to showcase Costa Oil's first primary race partnership with RWR this weekend at Iowa," said Rick Ware, team owner. "They're a fast-growing company that's changing the game in the quick-lube space by focusing on speed, convenience and customer care - all values we live by in motorsports. Costa Oil is a brand that shares our drive to grow, compete and deliver results."

Costa Oil has built its presence in racing over the past few years. The company first joined forces with Alpha Prime Racing and driver Ryan Ellis in 2022 at Dover Motor Speedway. It continued to sponsor him through the 2024 season as he delivered a best finish of 13th with the Costa Oil colors.

The company then joined Carson for multiple races. He showcased the Costa Oil scheme in the CARS Tour and in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

"We're thrilled to be back on track as a primary sponsor of the No. 51 car at Iowa Speedway with Cody Ware and Rick Ware Racing," said Costa Kapothanasis, CEO, Costa Oil. "We won with RWR and Carson Ware in a Pro Late Model on the CARS Tour, and it's a relationship that has grown with Carson in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and now with Cody in the NASCAR Cup Series.

"This collaboration isn't just about visibility on race day - it's about reinforcing the Costa Oil brand across the country. Rick Ware has been instrumental in delivering value beyond the paint scheme. His commitment to creating long-term, strategic partnerships has elevated this sponsorship into something much bigger than a logo placement."

While this sponsorship will take place during NASCAR's Iowa Speedway return, it will actually mark Ware's first Cup start at the short track. Justin Haley and Kaz Grala drove Rick Ware Racing's two entries in last season's inaugural race. Haley led the way with a 13th-place finish.
