Chicago Street Race weekend schedule, forecast

|

Two of the national NASCAR series return to the streets of Chicago this weekend for some left and right turns.

Xfinity Series teams will race Saturday while trying to go the full distance. Last season's race ended shortly before halfway due to heavy rainfall. Cole Custer led all 25 laps after starting from the pole.

Cup Series teams race Sunday while capping off the weekend. This street race provides another opportunity for the Cup regulars to win in the Windy City. Three-time Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen won last season's race in his first-ever Cup start.

Van Gisbergen, who now races full-time in Xfinity, will compete in both Chicago races this weekend. Custer will be back in the Xfinity lineup to defend his win.
