Important channels to know as NASCAR turns to NBC Sports

The Brickyard 400 closed out the TNT Sports portion of the NASCAR Cup Series schedule, so it is time for NBC Sports to take over for the rest of the season.

However, there is a twist as certain on-track sessions will be on different channels than they were last season.

According to a previous announcement, truTV will continue to broadcast Cup Series practice and qualifying sessions. The cable channel took over for Prime Video starting with the summer race at EchoPark Speedway, and it will continue to do so through the season finale at Phoenix Raceway.

Additionally, the Cup Series practice and qualifying sessions will also have a home on the Max streaming platform, as will the in-car cameras. Fans who want to use this platform will have to pay for a subscription.

The races themselves will air on one of two channels, depending on the week. For example, this week's Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway will air on USA Network. The same is true for nine other races on the NBC Sports portion of the calendar.

Only four events will air on NBC proper. This includes the regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway, the playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway, the playoff race at Martinsville Speedway, and the championship race at Phoenix Raceway.

The broadcast team will feature a similar setup to last season. Leigh Diffey will once again lead play-by-play after making a midseason transition to NASCAR in 2024. Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte will join him in the booth as analysts.

Marty Snider will once again don the NBC Sports logo while working as a pit reporter and pre/post-race host. Kim Coon, Dave Burns, and Parker Kligerman will also roam pit road and provide updates. The pre and post-race show will also feature NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Jarrett and Hyak Motorsports co-owner Brad Daugherty as analysts.
