Tyler Reddick will lead the field to the green flag for Sunday afternoon's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (2:30 p.m. ET on NBC).

Reddick, who was fastest in Friday's practice session, won the pole with a lap of 181.932 mph. This marks his eighth career pole win and his second of the season. Reddick also won the pole for the 2022 race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Denny Hamlin qualified second with a lap of 181.492 mph. Chase Elliott (181.803 mph), William Byron (180.155 mph), and Kyle Larson (181.298 mph) rounded out the top five.

The fastest five drivers in qualifying are the five drivers currently contending for the regular-season championship. Elliott leads the Cup Series standings with Larson only three points behind. Reddick is third, Hamlin is fourth, and Byron is fifth.

The top 10 in qualifying also included Ty Gibbs (180.043 mph), Ryan Blaney (179.849 mph), Michael McDowell (178.898 mph), Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (173.859 mph), and John Hunter Nemechek (178.462 mph).

Sunday's race will mark the second time this season Nemechek has qualified inside the top 10. He also started 10th for the season-opening Daytona 500. Saturday's qualifying session also marked the first time Stenhouse has made the second round this season.

Four-time Brickyard 400 Jimmie Johnson made his return to the Cup Series and qualified 33rd overall. He will line up next to two-time Brickyard 400 winner Kyle Busch, who qualified 34th.

Austin Cindric was the 35th-fastest driver during Saturday's qualifying session due to an unexpected incident. He slammed into the outside SAFER barrier and had to take the No. 2 Team Penske Ford back to the garage so his team could assess the damage.

The green flag for Sunday's Brickyard 400 will wave at 2:31 p.m. ET. The command to fire engines will be at 2:19 p.m. ET. NBC will provide coverage for the return of the 2.5-mile Indianapolis oval.
