HAMPTON, Ga. -- A massive crash unfolded at EchoPark Speedway on Saturday night, one that collected 25 cars and created a tow truck traffic jam in the garage.
This incident unfolded after a multi-car crash ended stage 1. The field lined up for the restart after pit stops. Chase Elliott and Chris Buescher led the field to the green flag and then they battled for position. Elliott cleared for the lead while the rest of the field jockeyed for position.
This is when disaster struck. Denny Hamlin spun from the outside lane after contact from another car and then kicked off a huge chain reaction. Cars slammed into each other and the wall while creating a traffic jam in the middle of the track. The majority of drivers had nowhere to go to avoid this incident.

Some of the drivers were able to continue in the race after a quick trip down pit road. This included Keselowski, Preece, and Nemechek. Others, such as pole-winner Logano, saw their night come to an early end due to the carnage that unfolded on the track.
"Basically, what I saw there, I didn't realize there were that many cars in it, but it wrecked the whole field," Logano said after exiting the infield care center. "I still don't know exactly how it started. It wasn't the best of replays, but it was total chaos.
"Cars were sideways and on the brakes. I got hit from every corner possible. I was right in the middle of the whole thing. It's a real bummer. What do you do? It's just part of the game sometimes. It's just the crappy part of our racing sometimes."
This was the second major crash at EchoPark Speedway. The first occurred when Christopher Bell got loose and spun in the middle of the pack. This incident collected several drivers, including Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney. It ended Blaney's night and sent Bell to the garage for extensive repairs.
