Here's Who Has the Best (and Worst) Chances of Winning the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing

|

On Sunday, February 20, the most elite stock car racing drivers will face off in the first points race of the NASCAR Cup Series season, the Daytona 500.

This year's lineup offers a mixed bag of experience levels, from rookie drivers like Austin Cindric, Todd Gilliland, and Harrison Burton running in their first Daytona 500, to vets like Denny Hamlin with multiple Daytona 500 wins.

When it comes to who has the best odds to pull off the W, it's really anyone's guess. Back in 2011, 20-year-old Trevor Bayne won the Great American Race in what was just his second Cup Series start. Bayne's victory is considered one of the biggest upsets in sports history. Just last year, Michael McDowell won at Daytona International Speedway despite Vegas oddsmakers giving him an extremely slim chance.

So, needless to say, anything can happen at the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing.

For this year's Daytona 500, there are already a few early favorites. Of course, there's Denny Hamlin, who won the Daytona 500 in 2016, 2019, and 2020. There's Kyle Larson, the defending Cup champ who just had a historic season with Hendrick Motorsports. You've also got Joey Logano, who's coming off a historic win at the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum.

While we could have another upset on our hands this year, here's a look at the early odds for the 2022 Daytona 500.
