NASCAR Xfinity Series Schedule: Here Are Some of the Changes Coming in 2020

|

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will be looking just a little bit different in 2020. Back-to-back champion Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell, and Ross Chastain -- three drivers who absolutely dominated in 2019 -- will be moving on to the Cup Series. There will also be several Xfinity Series rule changes coming in 2020. Cup Series drivers will only be allowed to compete in five races, down from seven in 2019. Also, the Xfinity Series field will be reduced to 36 cars in 2020, down from 38 in 2019. As far as this year's Xfinity Series schedule is concerned, these aren't the only changes coming either.

For one, the Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be held on IMS' road course for the first time. The race will be held on July 4. Speaking of holidays, on Halloween (October 31), the Xfinity Series is returning to Martinsville Speedway in Virginia for the first time since 2006. Also, the June race at Iowa Speedway is getting switched to a night race, while the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway is becoming a day race. Phoenix Raceway will also be the new site for the championship race.
