For those of you who are not all that familiar with the activity of tractor pulling, it is essentially a strength competition for farm equipment that occurs not just in the USA, but all over the world. The object of tractor pulling is for the modified tractors to haul a massive sled along a 35-foot wide, 330-foot long track, with the winner being the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest.
Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it? Not all that surprisingly, folks love to pour tons of muscle and torque into their own custom tractors and pit them against others to see who has got the mightier machine.
Speaking of mighty machines, here is the Slædehunden from straight outta Denmark. When you see what this thing can do, you’ll probably see what all that fuss over tractor pulling is all about.
Whoa. Talk about an absolute monster. Just a quick look through the specs on this thing will make you want to go out and get one of these amazing rides for yourself.
Per Legendary Speed:
The Slædehunden is an incredibly powerful pulling tractor that is equipped with TWO V12 transmash diesel motors straight out of a T55 tank! If you thought that was enough power do not be mistaken because in addition to the two diesel motors this monstrous tractor also has 4 turbochargers and 1 Keith Black hemi 526 CI gas motor!
This amazing Slædehunden has an estimated 3,500-4,000+ HP!
No doubt, this thing is one souped-up behemoth that could go toe-to-toe with the best of them. There’s no arguing that. Though, part of me is really curious to see how the Slædehunden would stack up against a good ol’ fashioned American-made pulling tractor from John Deere.
