Loana Lecomte has reportedly sustained multiple injuries after a crash in the women's cross-country finals event in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The French cyclist went over her handlebars after an issue navigating a downhill portion littered with large rocks known as a rock garden. According to Cycling Up to Date, Lecomte sustained a head injury and a minor jaw injury.
The broadcast cameras cut away from Lecomte after the incident. There was no replay of the crash, something that was understandable considering the situation. L'Equipe reported that staff on site had transported Lecomte from the course on a stretcher.
