Frankie Muniz taking on NASCAR Truck Series

Frankie Muniz will take on another national NASCAR series after signing a multi-race deal with Reaume Brothers Racing.

The actor-driver and the Truck team announced the news Wednesday. Muniz will join Reaume Brothers Racing for four upcoming races -- three in the Truck Series and one in the ARCA Menards Series.

Muniz's first start will be June 28 at Nashville Superspeedway (8 p.m. ET on FS2). He will also drive the No. 22 Ford F-150 for the team at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 19 (8 p.m. ET on FS1) and Kansas Speedway on Sept. 27 (8:30 p.m. ET on FS1).

Muniz will join Reaume Brothers Racing for the ARCA Menards Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Aug. 16 (6 p.m. ET on FS1/FloRacing).

"I'm really excited to begin my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career with Reaume Brothers Racing," Muniz said in a press release. "I visited the shop a few weeks ago, and I am very impressed with what all Josh (Reaume) has done to elevate his program.

"Being able to align myself with a program that is growing rapidly will only further elevate my performance behind the wheel. This year being a continued year of development in my career, it feels reassuring to partner with a program quickly developing to be a race-winning and championship-contending organization. I'm prepared to take on Nashville in the No. 22 Ford F-150."

Muniz spent last season racing full-time in the ARCA Menards Series. He drove the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones Racing, and he finished the season fourth in the championship standings. He posted one top-five finish and 11 top-10s in the 20 ARCA races.

Muniz made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut this season. He joined Joey Gase Motorsports for the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway and then at Phoenix Raceway. Muniz also attempted to qualify for the June race at Portland International Raceway but did not make the starting lineup due to a mechanical issue.
