Chase Elliott, NASCAR join mental health-focused campaign

Chase Elliott and NASCAR have joined forces with other athletes and sports leagues to highlight mental health in a new campaign.

Elliott is one of several athletes highlighted in a new series of public service advertisements titled "The Rituals We Share." This series shows top athletes from numerous sports preparing to compete in their respective environments.

The objective is to show how they take care of their minds at and away from the places they compete.

Elliott is a fitting driver to represent NASCAR in this campaign. He is an Xfinity Series champion and a Cup Series champion. He drives for the sport's winningest team, Hendrick Motorsports. Elliott is also a six-time Cup Series Most Popular Driver.

NASCAR is one of 11 professional sports leagues that teamed up with the "Love, Your Mind" campaign to create a series of PSA showcasing pre-competition rituals.

"At NASCAR, we constantly witness the impact the human mind can have on physical performance, and we know this intersection of mental health and overall wellness applies to everyone in our community, not just those behind the wheel," said NASCAR SVP, Chief Marketing Officer and Ad Council Board Member Pete Jung.

"We're excited to team up with the 'Love, Your Mind' campaign to encourage open conversations and proactive steps toward mental wellness, and we look forward to leveraging NASCAR platforms to ensure our fans and the entire racing community feel empowered to prioritize their mental well-being."

The "Love, Your Mind" campaign began in October 2023. It has featured collaborations with Black Players for Change, Stephen A. Smith, Sesame Workshop, and the American Farm Bureau while driving more than 650,000 visits to LoveYourMindToday.org.
