Following the diesel emissions scandal that was uncovered in 2015, German automaker Volkswagen has been a bit low key, but all of that could soon change at the impending Frankfurt Auto Show.

Within the last week, VW released a pair of teaser videos via YouTube that showcase its new I.D. Crozz Concept. This model is expected to become the company's first all-electric crossover and joins other I.D. family members such as the I.D. Concept and I.D. Buzz Concept.

In the videos, you can see the new Crozz Concept will feature a multicolored exterior, and there's also what appears to be four lidar devices on its roof, which could suggest the Crozz will be capable of at least some self-driving abilities. Other noteworthy details regarding the Crozz--that can be gained after watching these teaser videos--include an eye-catching LED tailight design and a solar sunroof that will supply power needed for its high-tech devices.

The VW I.D. Crozz Concept is expected to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which kicks off on September 12th. A few other prominent vehicles are scheduled to be shown at the same event, including the new BMW X7 iPerformance, Ferrari Portofino convertible, and the Project One hypercar concept.
