A vintage NASCAR employee’s shirt reminds us a very different past Jonathan Ferrey / Getty

Reddit user ApocApollo shared a picture classic shirt that used to be worn by Winston employees at NASCAR races on this post.

“Smoker? Let’s talk!” the shirt says. Seeing this shirt at a race today would be as surprising as an actual stock car on the track, but back in the day, this was just the way things were.

The comments confirm how different it was:

Imagining today’s races being patrolled by free-cigarette shilling tobacco employees is basically imagining an alternate universe, but that was NASCAR!
