A Jalopnik reader named Austin sold his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta VR6 after owning the car for 14 years. Since his daughter is only two years old, it was the only fun car she ever knew. Austin says,

“Most of her road time is spent in her mom’s boring ol’ Corolla, but when it was time to hoon with dad, she’d always get a smile on her face and squeal, ‘Daddy’s car! Vroom-VROOOM!!’ We’d “3… 2… 1… Blastoff!” at every stop sign…”

Understandably, she was not happy when she found out her fun-mobile was gone. Our hearts go out to this little gearhead’s loss. Chin up, little lady, we’re sure your dad didn’t mean to upset you and is probably already planning his next fun car to “3.. 2.. 1.. Blastoff!” in. And you’ll love that one just as much.
