Dale Earnhardt Jr. may have put his professional driving career behind him for a new broadcasting gig, but the NASCAR great can still find a way to win a race when he needs to. Even if the thing he’s racing in happens to be an electric cooler scooter.
During an episode of The Tonight Show back in June, Junior, sporting a beer helmet and a T-shirt with his late dad’s No. 3 Chevrolet car on it, took on host Jimmy Fallon in one of the wildest late-show stunts we’ve ever seen.
Since both Fallon and Earnhardt Jr. are currently NBC colleagues (with Junior working as a broadcaster for NASCAR on NBC), we’re sure there’s going to be a lot more racing-based shenanigans like this going down in NBC’s studios in the months to come.
That looked like fun, didn’t it? You’re probably asking yourself, “Where can I get myself an electric cooler scooter like that?” Well, it just so happens that you can actually buy an electric scooter just like the ones in the video on sites like Amazon.
While they may be a little on the expensive side, if you happen to have some extra cash lying around, having one of these bad boys would make for an absolute blast for barbecuing outside or tailgating any number of sporting events. Can anyone say Fourth of July cooler scooter racing?
Just to give you an idea of what you may be in for with a new cooler scooter, here are three different models that are offered on Amazon.
Costing around $630 for a 500-watt model or $800 for a $1,000-watt model, the Cruzin Cooler is perfect for keeping beer and food cold and for having some good ol’ fashioned outdoor fun while you’re at it.
With a cargo capacity of 24-12oz cans, the Cruzin Cooler is available in blue, red, white, or black. The Cruzin Cooler can also get up to 13 MPH and has around a 15-mile range. With a weight capacity of 250 pounds for larger loads, the scooter is great for drivers of various sizes and also comes equipped with retractable foot pegs. The free shipping is also a plus.
Customer reviews for the Cruzin Cooler were fairly mixed, with some complaining of defectiveness and others praising the product. Check it out here on Amazon.
This electric model from Crazy Coolers combines storage capabilities for your basic necessities with some high-octane fun.
Costing a little more than $1000, this crazy cooler is equipped with a 49CC, 2+HP 4-stroke engine and is able to handle all terrains. It also comes with a wheelie bar, a safety bumper, and disc brakes.
Available with free shipping, this model received mostly positive reviews. The rider capacity on this baby is key, just look at those all-terrain wheels. You’ll be able to make your way home, no matter where home is. Heck, you can even ride it to the grocery store to fill up! Check it out here.
Ok, so this HoverSeat frame may be different than your typical cooler scooter set-up, but at around $200, it definitely makes for a cheaper alternative.
Ok, ok, so the HoverBoard doesn’t actually come included with this, but at least it looks pretty cool, right? Ok scratch that, maybe just go with a lightweight motorized cooler that packs some extra power. As long as you have cold food, cold beer, and a place to sit, that’s all that matters, right?
