Kyle Busch's pit crew performance was so bad a frustrated team member used a profanity to describe it

Kyle Busch has an awful Sunday -- in the pits.

First, the lost two laps when he had to enter the pit for a loose wheel. Then, he was penalized when his gas man came over the wall too soon -- even though he didn't need gas.

All of this came after Joe Gibbs Racing made the decision to swap pit crews for this race --  Busch worked with teammate Daniel Suarez's crew -- and it was a disaster, showing the perils of trying to integrate a new crew so close to a major race.

Busch  crew chief Adam Stevens offered a succinct assessment of the Chicagoland performance, when he told ESPN:

"It was piss-poor execution all-around.When you make back-to-back mistakes, it's tough to recover from. ... It was a company decision to make the change that we made, and I wouldn't expect that to change.

"I'm confident we made the right one. It's just a bad day."

Busch said the team has to move on.

"We're all in it together. I've got to talk to Joe [Gibbs] and figure out what we're going to do. ... You've got to move on. There's nothing we can do right now."

Busch finished 15th, but is still in good shape to make the quarterfinals.
