This is something straight out of r/accidentalrenaissance. In case you've missed it, somehow, there have been massive fires sweeping across Southern California, claiming around 2,000 acres and forcing the evacuation of nearly 1,000 people as of Monday.

Wildfires are fairly common on the West Coast. They typically fill the sky with smoke every summer from a few weeks to a few months, but are contained.  It's not often that you see a fire raging this close to people and so wildly.

Hopefully, everyone is safe. If you happen to be in the way of this fire, which is only about 5 percent contained, evacuate if ordered too. These wildfires move quickly, and there is no surviving them.
