Cutting down a tree is no small feat. It's hard work. Plus, once you're done with that chore, you have to figure out what to do with the stump. And, that can be even more of a pain in the butt. People try to rip them out, dig them out, and even burn them out. Now, these are all serviceable methods in a pinch, but they can also lead to a number of problems, including safety issues, broken machinery, unwanted messes, and annoyed neighbors.

John Deere has a different approach, though. One that saves time and requires minimal effort. On top of that, it looks pretty freakin' awesome, too, which you'll be able to see for yourself in just a few seconds.

Using the Rotor S stump grinder attachment, the John Deere 8100 series tractor shown in the below video turns a bulky stump into mere wood shavings. Not only is this stump removal method incredibly effective, but it's safe and, surprisingly, isn't even that noisy. Check it out!

And, just like that, getting rid of those pesky stumps became way, way easier.

On the specs front, the Rotor S stump grinder can be used with 150/250 horsepower and with low 540/1000 RPM. It has an incredible stump removal rate, as it's able to take out 70-80 stumps per hour. We're guessing you'd probably never come close to needing that many stumps removed at one time, but just to give you an idea of what this thing is capable of. Could you ever see yourself using this machine? I know I could!
