Anime/car culture fans cease your despair! Shuiche Shigeno recently released an update to his epic driving manga Initial D.
To the unitiated, Initial D followed the story of Takumi Fujiwara and his journey towards street racing greatness. It's the thing we all wished we could do in high school, even if some of us drove clunkers straight out of the 60s that would never survive anything resembling a drift.
The manga inspired memes, video games, and an anime series. Now, MF Ghost will pick up where the last story left off with a few years in between.
What we know: the new manga will show the relation between car culture and self-driving cars in the future. What we don't know: everything else. Cut us some slack the thing isn't in English yet.
Still, we should all be excited for another artistic endeavor into futuristic car culture.
