An older person just bought a nice daily driver, and simply didn't drive it that much. These types of cars are normally in great shape and this 1989 Oldsmobile 88 Royal Brougham is no different.
Found by Doug Demuro on Autotrader this light blue beauty is for sale for only $5,545. Its listed by a dealer called Brooks Biddle Automotive in a Seattle suburb, and according to their description, its a one owner car. Doug looked into the Carfax, and it does show a new owner in 2009, although they only drove it about 1,000 miles. It very well could have been a family member but really, it doesn't matter all that much.
The base price of this car back in 1989 was only $16,395, but this person went to town on the options. This Royal Brougham came loaded with airbags, a touring handling package, an electronic instrument cluster, power front seats, vinyl top, climate control, power windows and a cool accent strip. All this brought the price to $21,295, and likely elevated this persons personal status by a few notches as well.
