In case you needed more motivation to wear a seatbelt, which you absolutely shouldn't, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety released a new video showing what happens to you when you're unbuckled in the back seat during a collision.
The trauma above wasn't caused by a high-speed collision either. The simulated accident showed what would happen to someone in the backseat during a crash at 35 mph, providing that person wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
It's clear that if this were a real person, there'd be some serious damage involved.
