Entering Sebring International Raceway's high-speed Turn 17, Joel Miller's No. 70 Mazda DPi suffered a mechanical failure and made hard contact with the tire barrier. Miller was evaluated and released from the infield care center.

This happened at the 12 hours of Sebring. Once Miller knew he could not make the corner, he decided to continue straight into the tire wall instead of the uncertainty of spinning or hitting a less forgiving surface at a bad angle.
