The FJ40 is what most people think of when they're asked about the quintessential off-road vehicle. The high-seated, box-shaped truck exudes rugged performance and shows off a "get there" attitude. Jeremiah Proffitt said it best when he described the FJ40 as "the vehicle that drives you in."

Proffitt and his shop, Proffitt's Resurrection Cruisers, performed an immaculate customer restoration of a 1982 variant of the Toyota. The car was an old Colorado Sheriff's vehicle, when it was purchased by an outgoing Sheriff for his personal use. The car then gained over 200,000 miles before Proffitt thankfully saved it.
