Jeepster Commando Doesn’t Know How To Quit

This obscure ’70s model Jeep, first made by Willys in the ’50s, with its Dauntless Edelbrock V6, is just that–dauntless. The rugged look of the Commando is more than a look. This classic offroad vehicle is an originator of the utility in “utility vehicle.” Sam Fankuchen says this car was a labor of love, though. “It was harder, more expensive, less safe to drive this thing every day, but I did it because I was committed to the project, I did it so that one day I’d be able to introduce my kids to cars like this.”
