Kyle Busch dominated the first stage of the first playoff race at Chicagoland, but it was 21-year-old Chase Elliott who won the second stage of the race.
Elliott took advantage of Busch making a pit stop on Lap 98 for a loose wheel. Busch and his team were also penalized for his pit crew going over the wall too soon.

Busch has plenty of ground to make up after a rough second stage. He made it back up to 16th by Lap 153. After 160 laps, Elliott led Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski.
