A major change is taking place at ThorSport Racing. Matt Crafton will end his full-time racing career as a new driver takes over the No. 88 Ford F-150 for 2026.
According to a Monday announcement, Crafton will finish out this season as he reaches 592 starts in the Craftsman Truck Series. The three-time champion will then step away from the No. 88. Fellow champion Ty Majeski will then shift over to the No. 88 on a full-time basis in 2026.
Crafton made his Truck Series debut with ThorSport Racing back in 2000 with one start. He finished ninth at California Speedway while driving the No. 88.
The California native then joined ThorSport Racing full-time in 2001 and kicked off a 25-year run as a full-time driver, the majority of which he spent with the Duke Thorson-owned team. The 2004 season served as the lone exception as Crafton drove for Kevin Harvick.
The veteran driver scored his first Truck win in 2008, and he has gone on to visit victory lane 15 total times. This includes a six-win season in 2015 when he finished third in the standings.
This partnership has featured Crafton celebrating three Truck Series championships. He scored his first in 2013 and his second in 2014. He won his third championship in 2019 after posting top-10 finishes in 18 of the 23 races.

A West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame inductee, Crafton is the only driver in series history to win consecutive Truck Series titles. He ranks second in championships behind Ron Hornaday Jr., who won four.
Majeski is currently in his fourth full-time season driving for ThorSport Racing. He took over the No. 66 in 2022 and scored two wins. He reached the Championship 4 and ended the season fourth in the standings while Zane Smith won the title.
Majeski moved to the No. 98 in 2023 and reached the playoffs once again with a win. He ended the season eighth in the standings. Last season, Majeski posted a career-best season as he won three races and captured his first championship with a dominant performance at Phoenix Raceway.
Majeski hasn't won this season, but he returned to the playoffs on points. He will have the opportunity to compete for his second consecutive championship, starting at Darlington Raceway.
