NASCAR unveils new title sponsor for secondary series

The secondary NASCAR series has a new name for 2026 and beyond. It will become the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.

The Sports Business Journal and The Athletic reported this change over the weekend as drivers in the secondary series enjoyed an off-week. NASCAR then issued a Monday press release and confirmed that the Xfinity Series will become the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series on Jan. 1, 2026.

According to the announcement, this is a multi-year deal as O'Reilly makes the leap from race sponsorships to title sponsor a full series.

"Like the great sport of NASCAR, O'Reilly Auto Parts was born in America and built on the hard work and drive of passionate people," said NASCAR President Steve O'Donnell.

"This new partnership allows us to continue to fuel that passion for the next generation of NASCAR's stars and fans while celebrating the journey we've been on together for decades."

The 2025 season marks the final outing for Xfinity, which it announced in February. The company will remain invested in the sport after renewing a partnership with NASCAR but will not continue to serve as the title sponsor for the secondary series.

This departure ends an 11-year run for the digital services provider, as well as drivers finding unique ways to compare their cars to Xfinity internet or cell phone service.

O'Reilly Auto Parts makes the full-time move to NASCAR as the secondary series experiences a boon. The series has long been a favorite of racing fans, but the partnership with the CW Network has only further helped.

This season, the Xfinity Series has seen a 17% increase in total viewers compared to last season when it aired on multiple networks. Nineteen of its 23 races have drawn more than 1 million viewers.

"The success of NASCAR on The CW has shown that millions of fans will consistently tune in for these adrenaline-fueled races every week," said Brad Schwartz, President, The CW Network.

"This exciting new partnership with O'Reilly Auto Parts gives us the opportunity to expand that reach even further by tapping into our mutually strong presence in local communities nationwide and continuing to grow our passionate audience in the years to come."
