How to watch Xfinity at Watkins Glen International: Start time, TV


The Xfinity Series season continues on Saturday with a road course race at Watkins Glen International.

This race marks the 31st time since 1991 that NASCAR's second-tier series has taken on the New York road course. Terry Labonte won the inaugural event. Connor Zilisch won last season's Xfinity race at Watkins Glen in what was his series debut.

Zilisch will be back in the lineup as he tries to win his sixth race of the season. He will face off with a stacked lineup of competitors, which features fellow Watkins Glen winner Sam Mayer.

Weather: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for mainly sunny skies throughout the day. A high of 85 degrees and no chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity Series race

Green flag time: The command to fire engines will be at 3:09 p.m. ET. The green flag will wave at 3:20 p.m. ET.

Pre-race: The Xfinity Series garage opens at 8 a.m. ET. Driver introductions will take place at 2:35 p.m. ET. Pre-race coverage begins with "NASCAR Countdown Live" on CW at 2:30 p.m. ET. Race coverage continues on CW at 3 p.m. ET.

Stages: The race will consist of three stages. The first stage ends at Lap 20. The second stage ends at Lap 40. The scheduled end of the race is Lap 82.

Playoff picture: Eight drivers have locked up spots in the playoffs by winning at least one race. Connor Zilisch leads the series with five wins, including three of the last four races. He also leads the series with 30 playoff points. Zilisch and three-race winner Justin Allgaier are in a tie for the points lead.

Austin Hill, who served a one-race suspension last week for wrecking Aric Almirola, has three wins. However, he has no playoff points as part of NASCAR's new waiver rules.

The full-time drivers with one win are Jesse Love, Brandon Jones, Nick Sanchez, Sam Mayer, and Sammy Smith.

Harrison Burton is the last driver in the playoff field on points. He has a 17-point lead over Ryan Sieg and a 19-point lead over cousin Jeb Burton.

Past winners: Only two drivers in the Xfinity Series lineup have won at Watkins Glen International. Zilisch won last season's race and Mayer won in 2023.
