The Cup Series teams continue the season with a Sunday afternoon race at Dover Motor Speedway after trips to Chicago and Sonoma Raceway.
This race is the 107th at Dover in Cup Series history. Richard Petty won the inaugural event at the 1-mile track in 1969. Denny Hamlin won last season's race. Hamlin in the only repeat winner in the last seven Cup races at Dover Motor Speedway.

Weather: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies in the morning and then partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. A stray thunderstorm is possible.
Green flag time: The grand marshal will give the command to fire engines at 2:08 p.m. ET. The starter will wave the green flag at 2:17 p.m. ET.
Starting lineup: Practice and qualifying will take place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET. Max and truTV will provide coverage of the sessions.
Pre-race: The garage opens at 11 a.m. ET. Driver introductions will take place at 1:30 p.m. ET. Pre-race coverage begins on TNT, truTV, and Max at 1 p.m. ET. Race coverage continues on TNT, truTV, and Max at 2 p.m. ET.
The invocation will be at 2 p.m. ET. The national anthem will be performed at 2:01 p.m. ET.
Stages: The race will consist of three stages. The first stage ends at Lap 120. The second stage ends at Lap 250. The scheduled end of the race is Lap 400

Playoff picture: The Cup Series drivers have completed 20 points-paying races. Points leader William Byron has one win, the Daytona 500. Kyle Larson, Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and Shane van Gisbergen lead the series with three wins each.
The rest of the race winners are Josh Berry, Austin Cindric, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, and Ryan Blaney. This leaves only four spots in the playoffs based on points.
Tyler Reddick is in the best situation heading to Sonoma. He has a 149-point advantage over the playoff cutline. He leads Chris Buescher (+34), Alex Bowman (+32), and Bubba Wallace (+3). Ryan Preece is the first driver out of a playoff spot. He is three points behind Wallace. The other drivers close to the cutline are Kyle Busch (-37), AJ Allmendinger (-50), and Ty Gibbs (-60).
Past winners: Six active Cup Series drivers have celebrated wins at Dover Motor Speedway. Busch leads the group with three wins. Hamlin and Elliott both have two wins at the Monster Mile. Bowman, Larson, and Brad Keselowski have one win each.
