Shane van Gisbergen leads the Sonoma Xfinity Series lineup after winning the pole in Friday's qualifying session.
The Trackhouse Racing driver, who joins JR Motorsports for this weekend's road course race, won the pole with a lap of 75.259 seconds. This is his fifth career Xfinity Series pole win and his second of the season. He also won the pole last weekend in Chicago before winning the race.
Connor Zilisch qualified second with a lap of 75.503 seconds. He will join van Gisbergen on the front row after finishing second in Chicago. This is Zilisch's 14th time starting inside the top 10 this season. He has made 17 starts.

The rest of the top 10 included Sam Mayer (75.644), Jesse Love (75.839), William Sawalich (75.881), Sammy Smith (75.890), Carson Kvapil (76.168), Brandon Jones (76.193), Sheldon Creed (76.208), and Justin Allgaier (76.270).
Taylor Gray qualified 11th for the Xfinity Series race with a lap of 76.281 seconds. However, the rookie told media members that the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing team will have to swap out his engine before Saturday afternoon's race. This means he will start from the rear of the field.
Corey Day, a Hendrick Motorsports development driver, qualified 14th with a lap of 76.432 seconds. This marks his fourth Xfinity start of the season as he continues his multi-faceted schedule.
Riley Herbst qualified 15th with a lap of 76.439 seconds. Herbst has made two Xfinity starts this season with Joe Gibbs Racing after moving up to the Cup Series. His previous best finish was third at Texas Motor Speedway.
The Sonoma Xfinity Series race will take place on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET. CW will provide coverage with special guest analyst Christopher Bell joining the broadcast booth. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 4:50 p.m. ET.
The last time van Gisbergen started from the pole at Sonoma Raceway, he led 32 of the 79 laps. He won the opening stage and the short-pitted in stage 2 to gain track position. He then defeated Austin Hill after a heated battle in the closing laps.
