NASCAR teams and drivers will have the chance to test out the new Roval at Charlotte Motor Speedway before next year's playoff race.

According to Motorsport, the tests will be on July 10-11 and July 17-18, and every team will be able to test at the track as a part of NASCAR's 2018 testing guidelines.

The newly designed Roval will be a part of the playoffs in 2018, and it will be the first and only track with road course aspects to it in the postseason.

Each team can test at either of the two testing dates at Charlotte.

If there are more changes made to the Roval, there could be more Goodyear tire tests at the track before the playoff race. There will also be tire tests at Texas, Michigan, Indianapolis, Kentucky, Darlington and Atlanta.

The Roval is 2.42 miles long and has 18 turns, and it has perhaps the most unique design of any NASCAR track.

NASCAR wanted a road course added to the playoffs, but that would've cost teams more money for preparation. So, the Roval was designed to implement some features of a road course while also having a regular oval track.

The race is set for Sunday, Sept. 30 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and it will be the third playoff race of the postseason.
