Driver who survived frightening crash finally about to return to the track

This was one of the scariest wrecks you'll ever see.

 

IndyCar driver Sebastien Bourdais  was involved in that horrible wreck in May at the at Gateway Motorsports Park, and is finally on his way back. Indycar.com reported that Bourdais suffered hip and pelvic fractures when he crashed during an Indianapolis 500 qualifications attempt.

"Following the crash, I had one goal in mind and that was to be back for Sonoma (the season finale on Sept. 17), and here I am getting back in the car with three races to go. It's a bit unbelievable but I can't wait to try out that new surface at Gateway this weekend," he said.

What's even more unbelievable is that he survived that crash.
