Genovation Cars built this Corvette for one thing and one thing only: To set speed records. Already owning the electric production car top speed record, the Genovation crew kept pushing towards their goal of 200 mph. Beefier half-shafts, increased power and re-calibrated software were all it took to take it past the barrier.

Rocketing down the runway at a gps-measured 205 mph, the all-electric corvette sounds like a jet. While cost is still the biggest challenge to the popularity of electric cars. No longer can people say they aren't fast.
