Feast your eyes on one incredibly monstrous two-stroke V8 engine. It's an amazing piece of custom engineering that's capable of power like you wouldn't believe. You don't typically see two-stroke applications outside of smaller engines and light vehicles, but a couple of gearheads hailing from Sweden went and applied it to a crazy V8 setup.

According to the YouTube description, "the expansion chambers are 'home made' by hydroforming. The original exhaust is milled away and the engine block is filled with plastic."

Wow! Talk about a fantastic monstrosity.

Now, this whole project started with an Evinrude 300XP outboard boat engine that was designed in the 1980s as a 3.6-liter 2-stroke V8 that could churn out around 275 horsepower. But, after our inventive friends worked their magic on it, this engine quickly evolved into a 4-liter beast.

When they were finished with the project, these Swedes were not just about to let the V8 sit and collect rust. They plopped the souped-up engine inside a gutted Volvo 122 Amazon. If you thought this engine looked intimidating by itself, just wait until you see it inside the Volvo!

Have you ever heard a more beautifully menacing sound than that? It sounds like a dozen chainsaws being revved all at once. You gotta love it!

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, "Sure, the engine sounds cool and all. It looks good inside a car. But, it would be way, way cooler if we could see this modded-out Volvo in action."

Well, you are in luck, my friends, because the below video shows a test drive of the modified drag racer in action. Enjoy!
