Irishwoman Gillian Treacy was driving with her four year old son Ciarán and infant son Seán when she was struck by a drunk driver. Gillian herself suffered horrific injuries, including serious fractures in her left leg which required extensive surgeries to repair. Tragically, four year old Ciarán was killed upon impact. For the past year following the devastating collision, Gillian and her husband Ronan have worked tirelessly with the Crashed Lives campaign to share their personal struggle and story so that other families might be able to avoid such hardship in their own lives. The next time a friend or family member of yours tells you they’re okay to drive after a few drinks, remind them of the consequences of such a selfish and senseless act.
