Wikus Ceronie, a welding inspector working in Mozambique for the first time, was on his way back to his native South Africa, when he noticed a lone hippopotamus on the bridge out of Kruger National Park. Ceronie pulled out his phone to get a video of the hippo, which was walking along the median, but the hippo suddenly turned its attentions to Wikus’ truck and unleashed some serious rage on the front end. Ceronie had pretty much the only reaction appropriate for the situation, but the damage done to his truck was serious. Thankfully, the hippo turned and left following the attack, and Wikus was able to maneuver himself to safety before assessing the damage.
