Having just completed the UK’s equivalent of high school, Nathalie McGloin was riding in a car with her friends, when they accidentally struck someone turning into a blind driveway, sending their car off the road and into a tree. Nathalie suffered a severe spinal injury as a result of the crash, and saw her plans for university and life in general slip through her fingers in being confined to a wheelchair. Through a friend, she found a special racing group who were hard at work developing a driving system which she could operate as a paraplegic. Now, she’s one of the top female drivers in the UK.
