After he left his car parked outside his automotive repair shop in the Mamara province of Sakarya, Turkey, mechanic Cem Acar initially thought his car had been severely damaged by thieves when he found it the next day. But then he checked the security footage from a closed circuit camera system overlooking the spot, and was shocked to discover a pack of eight stray dogs were responsible for nearly $1600 in damages to his car. Officials and Acar speculate that the dogs may have been after something which crawled into the engine compartment, but were unable to find whatever the hounds were so feverishly searching for.
