Engineers of the CAD4X Laboratory at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have transformed the average everyday Jeep Wrangler into an electric-powered vehicle which performs on the whole just as well upon rough terrain as its gas engine counterpart. The conversion swaps out the old gas engine for dual 60 kW powerplants which can be adjusted for more or less power depending on the driving conditions one is operating under. The Jeep’s real claim to fame is its all wheel drive and torque power, neither of which seem to be lost in the swap over to electric power.
